Women of Our Time An Album of Twentieth-Century Photographs Frederick S. Voss PDF

In brief biographies and evocative photographic portraits, this handsome album is a celebration of 75 creative, humane, controversial, witty, brave, beautiful, and inspirational women of the 20th century, introduced by NPR and ABC News journalist Cokie Roberts. Among these revealing images from an array of distinguished photographers are rarely seen photos of such women as Marilyn Monroe, Helen Keller, Hannah Arendt, Billie Holiday, Gloria Steinem, Rosa Parks, and Sylvia Plath; a handful of color photos includes Linda Eastman’s portrait of Janis Joplin onstage and a stunning Nickolas Muray image of Anna May Wong, made with his color carbro process in 1937. ‘’Zamanımızın Kadınları: Bir 20. Yüzyıl Fotoğraf Albümü’’ 20. yüzyılın cesur, tartışma yaratan, güzel ve ilham veren kadınlarının biyografi ve porte fotoğraflarını derleyen güzel bir albüm.
