Delson Uchoa Agnaldo Farias PDF

Brazilian artist Delson Uchôa is known around the world for his lush geometric abstracts—enormous canvases with layer after layer of vivid color, inspired by the natural beauty of the most extreme regions of his homeland. He achieves this visual impact through a variety of innovative techniques; his painting Xadres de Chao, for example, was the result of a three year process that included covering the interior of his home with resin, painting it, and peeling the resin off to create a workable material. Produced for his exhibition at the Brazilian Pavilion at the 53rd Venice Biennale, this gorgeously illustrated catalog presents Uchôa’s work in 62 color images, up to 15 inches across, with a critical essay and an interview with the artist.
