Ceramics / A Lifetime of Works,Ideas and Teachings Robin Hopper PDF

In this book—both a career retrospective and an autobiography in pots—master ceramist Robin Hopper confesses to an “all-consuming addiction to clay” that began for him at about age three. While cataloging his stunning ceramics in color photos, Hopper describes his creative processes and his inspirations, including the aesthetics of form, the work of uncounted potters and other craftsmen before him, and the incidents of his own life, from childhood in wartime Britain to his emigration to Canada and his international travels. “This book is about cause and effect,” says Hopper. “The cause is the personal life journey of the artist; the effect is in how that journey evolves into the individual acts of creation. Along the road, a whole lot of personal research was required, together with tips and tricks from mentors and guides…. Here, the journey and its multiple destinations are explored together.” ‘’Robin Hopper Seramikleri: Çalışmalar, Fikirler ve Öğretilerle Dolu Bir Yaşam’’ Seramik sanatçısı Rober Hopper’in harika eserlerinden oluşan retrospektifinin toplandığı harika bir kitap.
